Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. Her feature film debut was a tiny part in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy allowed her to pursue an acting profession. Doody was offered a tiny part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was noticed by the director who cast her. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old in the role of Doody in Bond She was still the youngest Bond gal to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias when she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part of Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was a co-star in the year 1991 alongside Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called the Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood Doody made her a star. The role she played was Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony for an award. The roles she played include the TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way.
